Ladue students are asked how their fantasy football team played this past weekend

“It went great. I had Garrett Wilson and Michael Pittman Jr. give me at least 20 points each. Lamar [Jackson], my QB, got me 29. I just wish AJ Brown would give me more.” – Evan Dredge (9)
“My fantasy football team had a pretty good weekend. Put up 110 points, I just need Aaron Jones to get 16 points tonight.” – Sam Manlin (12)
“Last night, the last time I checked it, I was winning by 5 points. It had me on a 3% chance to win because all my players had already played. I think I did well.” – Connor Oshaughnessy (10)
“My fantasy football team did pretty good. My defense was pretty bad, they only gave me 1 point. But luckily, I had Josh Allen as my quarterback so it was a nice little 38 fantasy points from him. So I’m pretty happy. Overall I got 123 points so it’s a good first week for us.” – Oluwatomisin Falako (11)

The Ladue Field Hockey team places first in their pool in the Gateway Classic tournament. The team used this tournament as a learning point for what they need to focus on for future games ahead. “The initial focus was to put on the offensive pressure in the first couple of minutes of play, gaining ground quickly and getting shots on the cage,” Head Coach Leah Jones said after their game against Clayton two weeks after the Gateway Classic. “Once we did that and had a few goal lead, we shifted to focus on playing as a unit and connecting passes.”

Nationals Bound
Alexandra Tsygankov (12) runs on the track Nov. 18. She has run cross country for the last four years, since her freshman year. “It’s going to be the friendships and the person you grow [into] that’s gonna matter more than anything,” Tsygankov said.
Training Styles
Nelson Vickar (12) defends the goal for Ladue Hockey against Westminster High School Nov. 13. Nelson moved back to St. Louis from Long Island, New York in October and can now play Ladue Hockey. “I didn’t want to spend my senior year away from friends and family, especially if hockey wasn’t the right path for me.” Nelson said.

Many Chinese immigrants began to move to St. Louis in 1857, and by 1869, they had established a Chinatown colloquially referred to as "Hop Alley." Increasing xenophobia on the West Coast, combined with opportunities for industrial work in the Midwest, led to a greater influx of migrants, making Hop Alley a haven for Chinese Americans. However, after over a century of flourishing, the city seized the land through eminent domain, building Busch Stadium directly over the history and culture of Chinese populations within St. Louis in 1966.
