Sumedha Mohan (10), a member of the Digital Scoreboard Crew, was behind the Nielson Gym scorers table Jan. 15 displaying game graphics for the JV and varsity girls basketball games against Parkway West. Students who are a part of the crew are hired and paid as student workers by the district and work with teacher and announcer Steve Boyd at home games played in the stadium, the Nielson Gym or Ramming Natatorium. “I think this is one of the best jobs in the school because you get paid to watch sports,” Mohan said. “It’s just clicking around files, knowing what the players numbers to names are, stuff like that.”
