Q: What are some of your responsibilities involved in being junior vice president?
A: This year we helped plan homecoming. We’re going to do prom, and we also help out the other officers with the concession stands.
Q: What separates your role and responsibilities from the senior vice president role?
A: The senior vice president and the senior officers in general help lead the meetings more, and they just have a bigger role in helping plan school events.
Q: What are some of the other projects you’ve worked on for STUCO?
A: We’re starting to plan for the Coaches vs. Cancer basketball game, and we’re going to have a pep rally.
Q: If you could get any event you’ve thought of for STUCO approved, what would it be?
A: I would like the school to allow more pep rallies to happen. I think it’s been kind of inconsistent in the past few years, and I think it would be good to consistently have pep rallies to increase school spirit.
Q: Where is STUCO at in prom planning?
A: We’ve already planned the theme, the location and we’re about to finish finding the food.
Q: What are some of your current priorities as a junior officer, a representative of your class?
A: The biggest one is to keep school spirit up and to continue planning fun events. I think those are always the biggest ones. I also just want to help serve the school.
Q: What can students look forward to?
A: I would definitely say the pep rally. There hasn’t been a spring one in a while, and I think they’re going to have the 3v3 basketball tournament during the pep rally.
Q: As the senior officers are graduating, what qualities do you hope to reflect for your grade, the incoming senior class?
A: I would say the biggest one is school spirit. I’ve seen the senior officers help promote a lot of things, and it really reflects onto the class. I think a lot of that is through good communication, and I hope the junior class will be able to continue that when we’re seniors.
