French Honor Society held a croissant tasting meeting April 8. Members were split into teams and given a variety of unknown jams to guess the flavor of each jam.
“I really liked the team aspect of the meeting,” Alexandra Armstrong (11) said. “I liked getting to work as a team to figure out what each jams were flavored.”
Teams submitted their final guesses to officers, who wrote down their guesses on the whiteboard. The teams that tied for the highest amount of correct guesses played rock-paper-scissors for the winning prize of macarons.
“The highlight of the meeting for me was keeping track of the team’s guesses,” Ziolkowski said.
This is the first year the club has implemented a croissant tasting meeting. French Honor Society officers took inspiration from past recurring meetings.
“This is more of a recreation of an event, because we’ve had events where we have people taste test different French inspired foods, but this was our first time with jams and croissants,” Secretary Arlo Ziolkowski (11) said. “The turnout was pretty good. We had most of our club here.”
