Girls varsity volleyball held their Senior Night Oct. 16 at Nielson Gym to honor their senior players. The ceremony commenced shortly after the JV volleyball game against Parkway Central. Emily Rosen (12), Annabelle Reagan (12), Sophia Strayhorn (12) and Aribella Stephens (12), as well as their team manager Jayden Hayes (12), walked with their families and received hugs and gifts from their coaches and teammates. Heartfelt messages and wishes were shared about each player, and many tears were shed.
Afterwards, the Rams gave each senior on the Parkway Central team a rose in respect.
“We gave the opposing team roses on Senior Night because we were their Senior Night last year and they did the same thing for us,” Giselle Stoeva (11) said. “We thought [giving them roses] would be a nice way to return the favor and make the seniors on the other team feel special.”
The Rams played a tough game against Parkway Central, with Parkway Central ultimately taking the win 3-1.
