Q: What are you most excited about regarding NHS this year?
A: The thing I am most excited about for NHS this year is all the volunteer opportunities we are offering. There is such a wide variety from outdoor work, to babysitting, to teaching others in the community. I really think there is something for everyone. I am really excited, not only for all the members but to get involved myself too.
Q: Are you guys starting any new service projects? If so, what are they?
A: We haven’t started any service projects as a club yet, but we continue to offer many opportunities for members to help with projects of other organizations, and there are definitely more to come.
Q: Can you tell me about your guys’ overall outlook on this year?
A: This year, we have one of the biggest NHS classes ever and we just keep growing, so we hope to keep having a great group of people getting involved.
Q: What is one challenge you guys have faced, and how did you navigate that obstacle?
A: Our biggest challenge yet has been navigating everyone’s busy schedule. All of our board members are involved in many different activities in and outside of Ladue. We know all of our members are involved too, and although I think it is fantastic, it can be challenging to make sure we are getting things organized in a way that works for as many people as possible. But, so far it’s been good.
Q: What is the number one goal NHS as a chapter is focused on achieving in the next year, both for fundraising and for our campus presence?
A: Our number one goal is to be as involved in our community as possible and to leave a lasting legacy of positive impact as the Ladue NHS chapter.
